Our Speed Training Sessions are designed for athletes of any sport looking to improve their quickness, explosive acceleration or top end speed. We can add elements of each to the training session, but these sessions work best when the player can focus in on the "type of speed" they want to focus on...Quicker footwork, anticipation and reactive agility? Explosive separation speed creating space or close on a defender? Form or mechanics to accelerate and hold top speed?
There are three primary factors associate with improving a players speed, and these sessions will target all of them:
- STRIDE LENGTH: Powerful, aggressive pushes into the ground creating explosive separation as you accelerate.
- STRIDE FREQUENCY: Footwork & quicker, efficient leg actions to hold top end speed or get into perfect positions.
- BODY POSITION: Control of your body as you reposition or drive through speed & agility patterns.
